[AGIP 51] Election for DAO Foundation’s 9 Directors/Multisig-Signers

This CoreProp shall serve as the election for the AavegotchiDAO Foundation’s 9 Directors/Multisig-Signers.

The board of Directors Consists of nine doxxed Directors that also act as multisig signers on the DAO Treasury multisig. The DAO Foundation multisig shall be set at 5/9 signers in order to execute.

Director is a paid position starting at 8000 GHST per year, paying 2000 GHST to each Director directly from the Treasury multisig every 90 days.

The Board acts as the executor of the DAO’s wishes. If individual Directors disagree with an action of the DAO, they can choose to resign but they cannot vote or act against a verified on-chain AGIP’s intent.

Directors have no legislative power, execute off-chain commands of the DAO, and simultaneously serve as signers of the Foundation’s gnosis multisig.

Their first order of business once elected will be creating that multisig.

Candidates should:

  • Be upstanding members of AavegotchiDAO with good reputations
  • Be familiar with smart contract interactions
  • Possess a hardware wallet and know how to use it
  • Be willing to have your name on a Cayman entity and be doxxed to Pixelcraft Studios
  • (Nice to have) Be familiar with creating transactions and signing on Gnosis Safe

I failed to include Kokusho in the vote even though their submission to Discord’s DAO Signaling thread was submitted on time. I will be deleting the current AGIP51 and apologize to those who have already voted in these first couple hours.

Look out for a resubmitted version of AGIP51 in the next few minutes.

Due to the unexpected circumstance of Yanik winning the election with 3 million votes, and then stepping down after it ended, but before he was instated, we had a heated discussion during the 12/4/22 DAO meeting, and a flash poll was held that indicated a 2/3 preference for redoing the election, with no new entrants, and everyone who wanted to remain in the running.

The purpose of the meetings is to inform and educate the DAO, provide a platform for DAO engagement, facilitate progress and accountability on DAO activity, and a weekly check in with the founders on important topics(as creator of the meetings, this was my intent, making important and lasting decisions was never in scope.)

With this in mind, I am making a snapshot vote to decide if we should abide by the election results, or do a revote with recusals removed.

0xZFi, has also recused themselves and will not be included in the revote if it is passed. Anyone also wishing to recuse themselves should do so before this vote ends.

Final results are listed here. Snapshot to follow shortly.

as well as myself and Michael F, Mycaleum recently posted his show of interest on that thread, it would be nice for the constituition to be written and approved before an election vote is started.
With the current information provided i want to be excluded from the vote although The constitution could provide me with the peace of mind to consider the position, i dont think thats the way this should go, therefore excluding myself.

Hopefully they have the constitution for us this weekend, and all becomes more clear

I thought Dan had said that we weren’t going to do a vote to see if there was going to be another vote. I thought he was just going to repost the vote.

what Hardkor explained is that thats not really the best precedent to set on the creation of the foundation (only around 40 ppl voted on the dao meeting poll) so making an official vote to the community is the most legit way of continueing with this topic, i agree
