Adding one more poll from the point @CryptoGotchi raised.

Let me know your thoughts. Looks like @Mori already coded the whitelist level option but wanting to get the communities input here.

  • Gotchi borrow limit should be set at the whitelist level
  • Gotchi borrow limit should be set at the listing level

I like the idea of giving people choice in general.

But I don’t see a productive purpose to including this at listing level because I suspect (perhaps cynically) that many may see it as the “right” thing to do in their nebulous efforts to combat botting.

I suspect the result would be that it won’t stop bots but it will make many gotchis unavailable to renters who need more than 1 borrowed gotchi for legit purposes - this would be a tangible nerf to those people without fulfilling the goal of combatting bots. Seems a sticky rather than carroty approach that would further limit the number of profitable, available rental gotchis in an already very tight market.

And what legit purpose would that be?

It would actually do the opposite. The pool of available Gotchis would increase. Borrowers can actually “Claim and End” at any time (even before the renting duration expired). So if someone really wants to borrow a different Gotchi for a legit reason, they can still do that. They would just need to first “Claim and End” (i.e. free up) the Gotchi they already have, before borrowing the new one.

well i have more land than I have Gotchi. I did not go to my guild to get on a whitelist because of this since I did not want to take from scholars. So now i have to use the open market to rent multiple gotchi to channel so imo this qualifies as a legit purpose :man_shrugging:

You dont need a guild to have a whitelist. A whitelist is just a list of who is allowed to rent your gotchis.

This feature will also benefit the Gotchiverse since more frens will be able to enjoy it. Instead of having 10 frens caring 100 gotchis, we will have 100 frens caring 100 gotchis.
