Beat me to it @kenymccornick ! @coderdan I think it mentions it in the article, but once council members were elected they were sent an NFT that unlocks their ability to vote on proposals. This is handled in Snapshot, so I don’t see any reason why we wouldn’t be able to implement this, if the community decides this is the way to handle funding proposals.
I think Illuvium’s goal is to encourage an environment where community members go to ‘their’ council member with concerns and opinions.
To repeat what I said earlier, I think we all would want to make sure we’re keeping the scope of these council votes strictly limited in scope, but I do think this could be a good way to delegate decision-making for less ‘sexy’ but equally important issues. Maybe in the future we could establish votes for new sub-councils if we identify other areas that could benefit from this structure.
