you are funny as always
They were? I don’t remember this.
He ment the alch price dropped by half
I meant the spill was ended.
Ahh, the Reaganomics plan
I kind of like the opportunity to say my gotchi has a time of the month/moon cycle tho.
I don’t believe what is being proposed would have the effect desired by OP.
Less channelling rewards = end on channelling sooner, less usage for Gotchis etc.
Also, mining wouldn’t be more interesting as cutting channelling rewards wouldn’t imo cause any noticeable uptick for the alch prices, just a slower dump …
I’d rather see we got more channelling rewards than less. Would keep channelling/renting going on for longer than it looks like it is now going to go on.
If you wanted to incentivize land mining, then there could be set ‘subsidies’ airdropped from the Spill-funds for example to addresses of those who are mining their paarcels… Which would inturn bring more inflation to alchs hehe.
While reading through this thread, this kept popping into my head. Farming absent of some proper sinks just creates a vicious cycle of more and more alch issuance / inflation. Sure at some point your parcel is empty, but still. Farming issuance has the potential to surpass channeling issuance quickly.
I think you are on to something interesting here. Low level reservoirs are probably already unprofitable, the next thing that will become unprofitable are low Kinship Gotchis, eventually high Kinship Gotchis, and finally the last profitable alch source would be high level reservoirs (just an educated guess, I didn’t do the math yet). So if prices keep going down, farmers might actually be the last ones to turn a profit on their alch-issuance transactions. Depending on how long we’d stay in such a state, harvesting issuance would catch up to channeling issuance even quicker (as people would eventually stop channeling due to unprofitability).
Yes, this has been bugging me as well. Last time I checked the Skellidator was > 400 GHST worth of alch (like the golden altar during mint). I don’t believe they would charge 25,000 ALPHA for it, if alch prices hadn’t dumped. On the one hand, this is understandable as a measure to stabilize alch prices. However, as a side effect it tells users: The expensive stuff is always gonna be about a couple hundred GHST worth of alch. That means selling your alch daily, and only buying back in once there’s something you really wanna buy, will outperform just saving your alch (as long as issuance outpaces the proper sinks (i.e. sinks that don’t give users a positive ROI on alch…)). And as people are realizing this, confidence in alch drops, thereby adding to the problem and making recovery that much harder.
Farming has a 100-300 day breakeven time so for every 1 FUD being sunk into farming, it takes 100-300 days to be issued back out. Yes we need more “pure” sinks and we’re hoping combat has that. What this plan is trying to achieve is get us to the point where combat is released without alch prices dropping another 80 or 90%. The hope is to make price start recovering but, failing that, we will at least slow the drop.
This is why we implement alchemica leaderboards funded by DAO ghst to further incentivise spending in farming, decorations, nft displays and tiles.
Cutting channeling issuance slows the dump and the leaderboards encourage spending.
All guild member who need something crafted pool all resource to 1 wallet address. Craft, distribute, profit from leaderboard
We will have crafting service instead of petting service too
Maybe someone can start a “gotchicraft” to go along with gotchivault
I think you can tell I am joking
This is the forge fail scenario imho. Some middleman app that milks it while removing all semblance of gameplay in favor of passive yields.
The forge is a really really long read. I haven’t been able to get thru it yet
If we were going to down this path, I would like to see some sort of rarity farming style payouts to Gotchis in Alchemica from the DAO treasury to offset the nerf that Gotchis will receive through this. It is important we keep incentives to hold onto Gotchis.
We have already had a couple of nerfs for Gotchis which impacts the Gotchi value and rental market such as spillover being turned off and how observooor mode no longer requires a gotchi to enter the Gotchiverse.
Obviously, I’m biased here based on my assets held.
I’m still working on it, but this is all the infographics and charts available. It’s a great idea IMHO. Just needs to be sure not to lose the lore/flavor/gamification part.
There will be almost no alchemica left in there after it’s added to the liquidity pools.
Thank you. The info graphics are really nice
Channeling should not be stopped forever, same as spillover shouldnt be stopped forever.
With alchemica channeling, we introduced UBI to gotchis, and where is this yield coming from? This yield is coming from land owners / gotchiverse investors, and they are capitulating, land prices are shit.
If alchemica price go to “zero”, than land prices go to “zero”, and than we can say goodbye to having new land releases while they were suppose to be main income for protocol.
I think, right now, if alchemica was obtainable only from farming, we would have very healthy ecosystem and prices of alch would stop declining.
On the other hand, its painfull for gotchis holders for sure…but how could one expect yield, over yield…somebody has to pay for it, and for multiple reasons land owners had enough of this.
Honestly its choosing between 2 evils, but i think “less channeling” with more spillover events is better than mechanically extract value with UBI, respectivelly sent alchemica price to zero…
Can you guys make up your mind on why alchemica prices keep going down! I thought this was apart of the market. Lower prices bring in new players that can afford to build. And now I can afford to build. Just let it ride out. We won’t be down forever
I’ve got reading to do and catch up to play as it’s late and I’ve drank. But…who is MARK???
Yall brought @Supreme_Pablo out of a one year silence. Has to mean something!
