Guys we discussed this topic with some members in telegram group. I forgot to create the topic here. The snapshot is already going on, I apologize for that.
The points for this topic is:
- Increase the gotchis market value as NFT for ALL tokens, not just the top ones.
- Decrease concentration.
- Making the game attractive to new players.
- To increase liquidity when buying/selling your gotchi.
The way the distribution is designed is absolute concentration. It’s almost impossible to a newbie player reach the top positions of the leaderboard. The first place winner is receiving the vast majority of the prizes and he will stay there practically for ever cause he can reinvest the prizes for getting the best wearables and buying more portals. How a new player will rise in the ranking to the point of overcoming the top 10? Impossible! The top gotchis will remain there forever, simply. The difference of prizes between the ranking should be minimal. With minimal prize difference between the leaderboard all NFT tokens will have a nicer market value, and players could play with more than one gotchis if they want bigger prizes. Right now if you have a low grade aavegotchi: hard to sell it, the is no liquidity, nobody will buy it , and you will never get good prize by rarity. Do you guys realize how hard is for a new player go up the leaderboard?
How is rarity farming currently being distributed:
Rank 1 - 135828,31 GHST (that`s 15% of all GHST distributed in the pool!! This player will stay here in top 1 for ever !!!)

Suggestion for a better way to distribute the prizes, avoiding the absolute power of the first places and allowing new players to rise in the ranking. We also create better market value for all gotchis NFT’s:
Example: 1 millon GHST pool for 500 players + 1500 players. From the rank 500 to 2000 we keep the distribution that was propposed in the docs.
Suggestion: Sum of weights method: We sum all the leaderboard positions to see how many shares we have: 1 + 2 + 3 + 4 + 5 + … + 500 = 125250
This way we split the pool in 125250 shares. Each player will receive a fixed number of shares according to his position. Each share is 1/125250 of 1 million in this example and that’s 8 GHST for share.
This way the prize would decrease by 8 GHST each position lower. 1 share = 8 GHST.
Rank 1 : 4000 GHST (500 shares)
Rank 2 : 3992 GHST (499 shares)
Rank 3 : 3984 GHST (498 shares)
Rank 100 : 3200 GHST (400 shares)
Rank 200 : 2400 GHST (300 shares)
Rank 300: 1600 GHST (200 shares)
Rank 400: 800 GHST (100 shares)
Rank 490 to 2000 - same as before
Next haunt would be the best to distribute between top 1000+ players, then 2000+,
accordingly to the game growth.
Guys this is a distribution example, don’t need to be exactly like that, okay? We can create a small bonus for the top 10 spots. But, we must agree that we have to decrease prize concentration to encourage new players. Let’s think in the long run!
To increase the value of the godlike itens we could create the following bonus to the top 10 gotchis:
top 1: +10k GHST bonus
top 2 +9k
top 3 +8k
top 4: +7k
top 5: +6k
top 6 +5k
top 7 +4k
top 8: +3k
top 9 +2k
top 10 + 1k
This way ALL NFT aavegotchi will have nice market value!! If you are a whale you can play with two or more gotchis for double gains! The way is designed right now most of the gotchis has no value.
Some players will say that thats bad for mythical and godlike itens but its not! A godlike item would make any good medium gotich reach the ranking and get a good prize. A godlike item could turn a medium grade gotchi into a profitable gotchi. So yes, we also increase de demand for top itens!!
The snapshot is already on and lasting for a month, i don’t think we have to create it again. What you guys think?
