Committee membership framework

Hey frens, as the implementation of the first DAO committee is getting closer we should define some restrictions for (potential) members. These ideas aren’t set in stone so I’d like to hear what you guys think.

The most obvious one is term limits. Committee membership will take time & effort, so there should be clearly defined timeframes. Of course they shouldn’t be too short so the committee can actually reach consensus. @jarrod had the idea of holding recurring “election processes” after every term but let’s do a quick poll:

  • 3 months
  • 6 months
  • 9+ months

0 voters

Second one is cross-committee membership. There could be a conflict of interest if we allow people to be part of different commitees at once. At the moment this isn’t an issue since there’s just one for the FRENS rate, but we might as well define it now:

  • 1 membership per person
  • 2 memberships per person
  • No restrictions

0 voters

If you feel like there are other topics that should be discussed with regards to committees, just drop them in here.

Need a metric for commitees… like, turn in a monthly report, at minimum, to the DAO. It’s fine if the report just says, “we decided to do nothing”, but we should know why and know the reason.
